It's all about the creek…and the mountains

A peaceful and comfortable place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay here so very much. From the very beginning, Linda was easy to communicate with. We first selected a date in March but needed to postpone due to Covid. Linda was very gracious and allowed us to select a date in May. Then as May approached and Covid became more tense, Linda allowed us to move the date once again. Finally we made it to Gili’s in October and had a wonderful stay. Meeting us at the cottage on our arrival, Linda took time to show us through the property and how things worked. She even told us a little history of the cottage and the area. When you look at the pictures on the website of the cottage, they are accurate. You see the inside and outside of a comfortable cottage on the banks of a clean, bubbling creek. But what you don’t see is how well the property is taken care of by Linda and Jorge. The place is spotless!! Everything functions as it should!! There are labels for fans and light switches. Plenty of pots/pans/baking dishes/silverware/dishes in the kitchen. Plenty of blankets for the beds on those cool mountain nights. You know that the owners live right down the road and are close-by for questions, but you have plenty of privacy. We enjoyed the firepit outside next to the creek. At the end of the day, when the temperature dropped, we enjoyed watching the sunset from the screened room, warmed by the gas heater. We slept well in a comfortable bed, took walks down the road (no traffic!), drove over Tuni Gap into downtown Andrews for lunch, enjoyed driving the Tusquittee Community area following the map provided by Linda, and shopped downtown Hayesville at Tiger’s Store. Thank you to Linda an Jorge for sharing your peaceful, comfortable cottages. We look forward to a return visit!! Doc & Karen F.
